In the early 2000s, Paulding County was one of the fastest growing communities in the United States. People were flocking to our towns in search of a place where they could raise their families, have access to quality education, find affordable housing, and were offered modern businesses and amenities, while also providing the tight-knit, hometown feel they desired. Several local community members realized that in order to provide the highest level of financial services and customer service possible, while not losing sight of the core values of the community, they needed to build a community bank that would meet the needs of the growing population. In August of 2006, Westside Bank opened its doors.
As a true "community" bank, Westside Bank built its business on serving members of the community, while also giving back to enhance the quality of life where we live. Customers are treated like family and decisions are made right inside our doors. We make customers our priority because we want them to succeed and have a banking relationship that is beneficial.
Over the years, Westside Bank has remained committed to our community and customers. We weathered the storm of the economic slowdown and were able to keep our doors opened so that we could continue to be a resource to those that put their confidence in us. In 2008, we added a Cobb County branch to serve the needs in that community and we continue to identify ways that we can add value.
Within the last couple of years, we have continued to grow and change our products and services to remain competitive with larger, national banks. Unlike those banks, we never lose sight of the fact that our customers are the reason that we exist.
In early 2021, Westside Bank was acquired by The Piedmont Bank, which is based out of Peachtree Corners, Georgia.
